CNN | One of the most daring escapes from North Korea
An epic tale detailing the escape of a North Korean family who sought for a new life in South Korea.
It was an honor to help share their story in a visually compelling way through animation. This project was born from the collaborative efforts amongst our talented motion design team, producers, journalists, writers, and editors between international offices.
I had the opportunity to be the lead motion designer on the project. I started with conceptualizing the visuals of the project through storyboards. The final designs and animations were mostly split between myself and another motion designer, with a third motion designer helping with additional animation for select scenes. The scenes shown below are some of my designs and animations.
